Good morning Trev, at this ungodly hour. I'm building my layout in the loft and although it's not really kicked in yet, the pics on my layout page may give you some ideas. Also there are loads of other photo's of layouts in various stages so you won't be wanting for inspiration :D May I also ask tha...

It's alright for you to say don't despair, I'm on 10mg of clozaril a day due to this so called pastime :) I don't think it would work using other areas of the loft as it is dusty, also there is just enough space to work on all sides of the layout. Reflecting on the progress, I feel it is coming on, ...

When I stuck the hardboard to the rafters in my loft I used screws, but with hindsight I should have used a nail gun. You can get them from screwfix for about £25, they take all the hard work out of it. They fire 1 inch brads and hold the board well to the joists. Just a thought :o http://www.screw...

The layout came to a grinding halt because I broke a left hand point and I have took my time (and a lot of advice on what to buy) to try and get it right Ironduke designed a layout for me as did Pete, but have you ever been in the p...

Good point well made 8) I've got a little 4x2 desk made out of MDF in the loft so I'm not bothered about damaging it. I've just thought, as you cut the card with the craft knife it would be possible that the knife may follow a previous gouge in the MDF and take it off it's line. Would the cutting ma...
