Article - Railway History

Railway History

As I am a diesel man I donâ€™t know much about the age of steam and the railways before they were nationalised. I thought it would be a good idea to have a map of the UK with all the railway areas marked on it and some history about each company.

This is going to be a difficult article to write but would be very useful.

If anyone knows any good books or websites with information please let me know. I may be able to approach them to get the information for the site.
