More lights are planned in this weekend but i am concerned about my electrical problems with running trains at the moment.
I thought i had sorted it but has reared its ugly head again and with finance low dont really want to delve into getting another combi controller.

Latest progress again has seen more leds fitted and more to follow just to light up the scenics and surrounding areas.More home made trees have also been added.
I have also had 47701 failing with poor wheelsets and have had her in for a wheel clean and also found she has the old heljan type.
Just to report that the turntable is still working and has seen plenty use.

Good to hear the turntable is still working, especially after all the trouble we had getting the damn thing working originally! Looking forward to seeing the new lighting fitted and working. Shame about 47701, this is a nice loco. Have you tried running a vacuum cleaner over the track in case some of the running issues are caused by dust and cat fur?

Chris
yes and have also stripped and cleaned all wheels and contacts on 47701 and is another that will need the newer wheelsets although running at the moment. It seems once the old sets get worn they really leave a severe resedue on the track until its fully removed.
Today took some telephoto shots of the fleet.Hope you like.

Thks william
I intend to do a hydraulic line up shot later but again been working on 47701s wheelsets as she is not running smoothly and may have to invest in a new set of wheels for her.
Happy fathers day to all those dads out there. :D

I like the zoomed photos. Some of the angles you've acheived make the photos look very realistic, and the latest batches have some real atmosphere to them.

Very good pics Richard as per usual, but regarding Lion on a Newbury service   we all knew it did not know it;s way beyond Laira, Exeter and Waterloo. More likely it would be at Old Oak for repairs after failing on an up mule at Waterloo.

Again guys thks for kind comments.
Still feeling like S*** and while like this have been looking at cme (chris) layout on how hes got signals lit and with someone elses idea of using a terminal block head may look into having the amber light lit without costing an arm and a leg and scratchbuilding my own.
Ian fair point on 50027 but it is a model railway and so to speak we can run what we like, after all i am running hydraulics on thunderbird dutys so 50027 on a paddington-newbury is not out of place as with in real terms trying to find a picture of a western at bedford midland road is like gold dust. This as i may have quoted is the 1st place i see a 52 and use to be regular performers on the westbury-leagrave stone trains as with ones to wolverton but as said pics are very rare.
Anyway need another lie down and recover.

Terminal blocks would be a pretty good scale for 00 gauge signals. I used plasticard tube pieces cut in half for my signal lenses and just painted over the parts of the LED I didn't want to light. With 00 you'll probably have enough room for wiring 2 LEDs to each signal and switching them via a toggle switch, either as 2 aspect signals or 3/4 aspect signals with "dummy" lights. I used white LEDs on all my signals and painted over them with clear tamiya paints to colour the lights accordingly. You'll probably be able to get away with 3mm LEDs though.

Was nice to chat to you earlier and hope you feel better soon.
