Very nice! A stingray is on my to-do list, but I'd not thought of fitting working lights!

No, it's gonna take two! Maybe I should give up on it if I've not got it finished by April this year...

Wow! Three innovations on one layout - the foamboard point control system, loco lift and moving security camera are all brilliant. You've managed to fit a lot into a small space too :D

Re: Green Wood Road

Very nice design, I've always been a fan of having two circuits round the room, but it can sometimes look a bit contrived. You've managed to avoid that and make it look natural. My ambition is to build a layout like this. The train looks superb running round those smooth curves! How big is the layou...

Superb! It's always good to see houses on a hill modelled. It's one of those things that doesn't get modelled enough. I'm not familiar with the kits but the end result is great.

Re: Flint Cottage - 009 pizza

I've not thought any more about rotating and I've been putting off the painting the wall for ages. A few weeks ago I had a go at painting it and wasn't at all happy with the results. After a third attempt I'm still not happy but since the wall is going to have plants growing up it I may leave it. I'...

Re: Curzon Street Station

The speed across the straight on route can still be high - there are slips on main lines - but they would be used for accessing slow speed lines.

Looks good DRS!

Re: Slightly

The paint will provide insulation and it'll only be a low voltage so even if you did get a shock it wouldn't hurt - you can get a tingling in you hand if you turn the power on when you've got your hand on the track.

How about this? Or this on here (I can't see a trackplan if there's not one you could ask. Browse the layouts forum to see what other people have done and what you like!

How about these? I've not used them - you can see what they look like on a boat here (photo intensive) and here's the original thread on RMWeb about them.

Re: First layout - any advice?

I don't think it'd look silly, in fact I think it's got potential too look rather nice. The good thing about the plan is that you don't have any problems with gradients as there aren't any! I think the station might look a bit odd with the island platform and the platform to the right too. Maybe jus...

Re: BR/NSE N gauge layout

Hmm, despite re-sizing to 600x800 I must admit I'm not very impressed by the way these pics are displayed on this forum with a up/down slider to view completely - very poor. It ought be improved to display the complete picture. I found that if I clicked on the pictures they displayed in the post wi...
