Why does Oxford Rail keep putting a superfluous window in the centre of the ends of their GWR Toad brake vans, where a panel should be?
Shouldn't someone tell them this is incorrect?
Oxford Rail
Re: Oxford Rail
Probably better not for now, as at least some earlier GWR brake van designs had two windows on the non-veranda end, and at least some later designs had a single central pane, and earlier vehicles were modified to single pane. Whether this was universal, and what the applicable dates might be, I have no idea; that would need some looking into.
Why do GWR modellers keep adding a superfluous 'Toad' when referring to Brake vans? 'Toad' was the standard UK telegraphic code for a Brake van and is thus redundant when the term Brake van is used.

Re: Oxford Rail
"Toad" just sounds odd to me.
I call them brake vans.
Thanks
