Hello all
I want to change all my couplings to Hunt magnetic, as coaches disconnect when going round track. I have various makes of new and old rolling stock. The Hunt couplings seem to need Nem pockets which I am finding it very hard to see much about on the internet
I don’t know if I have any stock with correct pockets as I can not find anything about them.
I can see you can buy kit to convert to Nem, but again can find instructions or videos on how this is done for n gauge
Is it possible to convert N gauge stock?
Can anyone tell me a good website where I can find out more
Thank you

They make couplings for the spring in pocket type of coupling, but I tried them on some Farish Pullmans and they constantly derailed*, the Dapol NEM mounts on Gresley coaches work well.

See this thread. IMHO NEM throws up as many problems as it solves.

Another couplings thread but may not be N gauge.

Have you considered a design like the old Sprat & Winkle or D&G etc? I believe they make N gauge versions? Anyone tried them? I have tried S&W's but in 00, and they worked well but were not so easy to fit to coaches and locos. Not impossible but required a little more thought to make them work as S&W's have a counter balance weight.
