Alan Wright's Cheviotdale

Post by Jkelly »

Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of making a new model railway layout. A major source of inspiration for me has always been 'Model railway operation in accordance with prototype practice' by Cyril J. Freezer. In it, he has included numerous pictures of a layout named Cheviotdale. It has a footprint similar to my new layout and seems like it could serve me and possibly others a great deal of inspiration. Unfortunately pictures of it are few and far between and I cant seem to find any pictures elsewhere.
I was wondering of some of this forums more experienced railway modellers who may recall the layout would have any pictures of it? I believe it was featured in RM June 1972. [EDIT: My apologies, it was actually June 1977 RM]

That's Cheviotdale by Alan Wright. This forum is a wonderful and helpful place. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

It was in June 1977 issue of Railway Modeller.
