Pedanticmongrel™'s O Gauge (Loco & Stock on tour)

Post by Pedanticmongrel »

For my 21st my father bought me an GWR O gauge tower brass 4575 class Prairie tank, this will be in BR black as number 5526 sometime soon hopefully, due to budget limitations and space limitations I do not have a layout but I have access to a few layouts in various locations. A collection of wagons has started to grow to go with the loco and I soon hope to purchase 2 auto trailers to go with it too.
At present 5526 is unpainted but DCC sound fitted and has witing in development to allow a scate™ to easily be fitted for 3 rail operation but also allow it to run on normal (sensible) 2 rail operation. The reason for this is one of the layouts it visits has stud pick ups in the middle of the track, normally this kind of antique set up would not be tolerated but this layout is epic, a garden layout with fully interlocked signalling.
But on the other foot other layouts with conventional 2 rail pick up are also visited from time to time, one of them being "The Paddington Line" (featured in August 2010 Railway Modeller).
Unfortunatley so far I have very few photos/footage of my loco and stock running on layouts.
Here however is some footage of 5526 and a goods train just after the sound chip was fitted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nPcR0_tMTs

Here are some photos of the stock I have so far.

It would be great to see the 5526 in finished livery.

It is something of a dilemma, i have it arranged to go to guy who make it stunning (he built and painted the Toad Brake Van) but I want to have it to run for the remainder of the "summer season"

5526 and wagons are down at West Lulworth at the moment, here are some photos from this morning, unfortunatley at the moment due to heavy rain trains are suspended until it stops. In the meantime here are some photos of 5526 running this morning taken by Tom92240.
