I'd recommend doing a plan to scale. I'm not sure how big your upper and lower levels are and how things fit together.

Should be easy to build - one length of flexi, no point motors to wire up, etc

Shunting could be tricky though

No The Line of under scores are where the pic upload went wrong and I uploaded the wrong one.

But the new picture is now here!!!

It will be a deisel shunting layout in the 1960-80's with a depot on the far right hand side and the inglenook on the other side. The 2 unconnected pieces of track are for storage sidings for rolling stock or loco's waiting for maintainance which will be in the view of the layout not the fiddle yard. The blank space at the bottom will be the undesided layout of the fiddle yard.

I nearly forgot. Size: 4ft x 22inches
Scale:OO Gauge constructed on mdf on top of a clothes draw!!! in a very small loft in croydon !!!

Hi "Newmansam",

Nice start to the layout, however im sure its better if you create a thread in the right relevant section such as the "Personal Layouts" forum. This will allow other members to follow and see your progress, whilst also, it makes the forum a bit more tidy-er :P

3ft by 2ft in a small attic in croydon !!!

Post by newmansam »

After making about 30 planed layouts I have finally started building my very small maintenance / storage yard in ews livery. At the moment I have only ballasted one section of track and the rest I will do tonight. Here are some pictures below so you can get a perspective of it, - enjoy! :D :D

Can you not just post one thread in the Under Construction section and post your updates there instead of starting a thread for every individual update! :D

Is this good in your professional opinion ?

Post by newmansam »

Hi I am only 15 but I am giving modelrailwaying a bash!, is this a good attempt for ballasting and track bedding?

Added the washer man, tree and van for interest.

Seriously, just start a thread in the under construction section and post all your updates there instead of starting a new thread for every update as you're doing now.

Nice work 8) Like the way you've done the ballast.
