well well well
after a lot of negotiation im "allowed" a small layout, its only going to be a 4ftx2ft diarama i think its called (not working) well
im hoping to try a bit of electrics and have lights etc
but however no moving stock
those of you from kent may know "GRAVESEND" well im going to give its station a go

i want to go a lil bit older than today as i cant get the loco in the picture ANYWHERE lol

well done with the negotiations with the Domestic Control Board.

I'm guessing that you will have left the negotiating table a little light in the wallet area. but that said we are all happy that you will be continuing with the hobby.
hopefully in time you'll be able to extend your 4x2 board to a fully operational layout. guess you'll be needing your controller for powering your lights, points etc but not to run trains

ok here goes, its a very very slow start but it seems a 20:80 ratio of my time and me n her time lol
not really a lot done to be honest but im happy with wht i have done so far

im not making the stations the same curve as in real life its going straight
and looking at the scale and the size baseboard i have i probably wont fit it all in
anyhow less talk and more of what we like best on here

great start,
however i dont see any bracing on the main board, if you have done it you need to, the last thing you want is to get on well and then the board warp.

yeah its braces along the 2 longer sides but i need a saw lol so i can brace the 2 shorter sides also i need to do this so there is space underneith to house the lighting wiring

i would also diagonal brace.

the longer reatining wall will be attatched to a back scene
and the shorter will have supports
1)to keep it straight and
2 )to support a road

ive tried to get it to look like dust sticking to fuel over spill i think it needs a lil bit more work but
i shall give it some more work later

Nice new loco kye, what make is the station or is it scratch?

the stations scratch built however i have used the scalescenes platform for the top but painted the yellow line myself
lol that makes me feel so clever writing that
