Indeed £200 is a bit high but they are sold out so they think they can get a silly price for them, pre order is the way to go as I got it as soon as they come out £65

A few pictures of an old kit, which will eventually get replaced by Bachmann's model, my Q-Kits USA Tank, which I brought a few years ago on ebay for about £150, not the best kit in the work in fact quite a few bits were missing which I managed to replace with some scratch building mainly steps and detailing bits.
Fitted with a Mashima 1224 motor and fly wheel, with a 40:1 gearbox... result is quite a nice little loco for shunting work.

A few more photo's to end 2013...
First few are of an old kit I brought back in early November, believed to be an old Weald / Roger Stenning kit, having already built the Roger Stenning E4 kit, I have rebuilt / restored this one back to working condition. Which you can find here:http://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Fo ... &start=315

Also an additional photo is one from Christmas time... this one is waiting for it's smaller brother to arrive... a recreation of the 2006 gala coming up?

As a few will know, The Bachmann Dukedogs arrived a few weeks ago, I ordered 2, the GWR green DCC version, and Br Early crest 9017 in 1955 condition. Both tenders are wrong at the moment and need riveted sided type instead of the countersunk type, I will be doing something about this in the next few weeks.

A few shots of the Dukedogs, also full sized images available on Flickr.

This was taken as arrived:

Etched plates were fitted later:

Stunning pics as ever Matt, thanks for sharing. I love the steam photoshopped in (I presume i is, if not, where do you get your smoke generators!) but something commonly missed is the steam from the steam heating, a feature that adds a touch more realism, and would make your pictures stand out even more.

Errmmm good question, I think I do for the Horsted Keynes station as it's slightly different to what it actually is, and also the one the put in Model Rail mag was wrong... not sure how they managed that. I will see what I can find, there is a station one on the layouts website.
