Re: San Sebastian, Spain and Niagara Falls! ...
Taking a leaf from the Aussies regular joke about the dreaded Drop-Bear, which enjoyed a renaissance during R&R leave during the Vietnam war, malicious Canadians have been known to describe the whirlpool cable-car as a faster, easier way of "crossing the border" than walking across the footbridge in Niagara Falls. I have marked the "track" of the cable-car and an arrow points to the optimum spot on the lookout.
One stands at the lookout, and waits for a USA tourist, preferably a fat Texan with a huge hat, to waddle across from the car-park. A short conversation ensues, and the Canadian laconically drops the comment that "there's no customs post here, ya-know, eh?" and within a few seconds has reeled in another sucker.
From memory, nearby trees shield the dead-end rock-face to our right.
Cheers, Chris.
P.S. Of course, I am not mean enough to do this. C
P.P.S. On a legal technicality, riding the cable car does take you into U.S.A. air-space. C

Should be OK. I mean, isn't there some talk of Canada being absorbed into the US along with Greenland?ChrisGreaves wrote:
