New tooled OO scale Class 66 announced!

Just announced! Not sure how some are sold out on pre order when this has just been sent out?!

Tempting for a better version of the class 66 to pull my 'last UK coal train" set of HTA's, paricularly as it looks like I can install a Knuckle coupler through thr drawbar as I did with the previous Bach 66 to match their HTA's. (Along with the Bachmann BRA wagon these have to be the best wagons available in RTR OO: they have a coupler that looks like the real thing - that's progress.)

I have to say I'm a tad underwhelmed by this announcement but I'm sure it is another version of this loco that someone will want somewhere!

I can see more of this happening from Bachmann, now facing so much competition in the D+E traction sector. It is clear enough that this is where most profit opportunity offers, as so many low cost gizmos can be added for feature count bragging rights, with the associated juicy prices. They have to go toe to toe in order to have a share of this.
