While a few years ago Lionheart came out with some lovely finescale 7mm scale narrow gauge models in 0-16.5, their appeal did not practiacally reach into the realm of modellers with sharp space saving curves, though beautiful things they were...
But now Bachmann have taken the plunge and their choice to start with has been those little short wheelbase quarry locos and rolling stock and while Bachmann have provided a choice of couplings to fit their NEM pockets, and nice they are too, should one decide to fit ones own alternatives, these make the ideal locos and rolling stock for going round extremely sharp curves should one need to. As they are, with the couplings provided they are designed to go round first radius curves, and I am talking about the same first radius that one finds with 00 track. Indeed these will run fine on 00 track if one does not have 0-16.5 track alternatives, making them an ideal entry point into the joys of 7mm scale.

No doubt many new modellers will venture into 7mmNG with Bachmanns new range!

They look very good. Being able to run on OO track would certainly be a big selling point.
