Intercity v Intercity Swallow livery

Post by centenary »

Is there a difference in BR Intercity v Intercity Swallow livery apart from the 'swallow' emblem? Not talking about different colours between different OO scale manufacturers but, I see adverts on Hatton's and Rails for Intercity and Intercity Swallow coaches.

Are they one and the same?

I'm no expert, but as far as I can find the swallow thing was only a logotype change , 'Intercity' being italicised and the swallow replacing the double arrows. It included the Scotrail logotype where appropriate, and was omitted from some older engines.

This Signature Left Intentionally Blank, but since I have written this and I intended to do it, this Signature is intentionally not blank. Paradox or What?
