Peterborough show cancelled

Post by RailwayRobbo »

Another show I usually attend has been cancelled.
The Peterborough MRE at the showground is not going to happen this year.

Is this a case of insufficient exhibitors able to commit to attendance, rather than venue unsuitable or not opening?

I would have thought that the uncertainty of visitor numbers, the possibility of not being able to obtain insurance cover, coupled with the uncertainty of any restrictions that may be re-imposed had a factor. Also not all traders and exhibitors may feel happy in crowded situations

I attended all of these before the virus hit and it was noticeable that attendances were already on the decline.
