Suction Vice

Post by BrightonMan »

Found these in Aldis last night for £5.99. Not sure what sort of quality they are, but for that price might be worth checking out? https://cdn.aldi-digital.co.uk//Workzon ... 0&p=2&q=77

I've had a couple of them for about 5 years, one suction one bench clamp. Good enough for most small jobs, cheap enough not to fell guilty when you hack lumps out with a slitting disk.

Good vice, useless mount, wouldn’t stick to anything for a minite or more before coming loose. I tried vaseline to seal ot but no joy.
In the end I drilled holes in the base of my Lidl version and screwed it to the bench. Hasn’t budged since.

had no problem with mine - presumably depends on the smoothness of the surface, did find its best to move the lever approximately half way

Sticks to tiles a treat if you want to pull them off.

Stood next to a 1Kg bag of sugar to show the actual size.

I have no issues with mine, powerful suction grip.
