An excellent idea. As long as they dont go silly with their prices like Linka did. Linka used to be very reasonably priced until around the mid '90's when they hiked up the prices and lost many of their potential customers. I was going to buy into Linka and buy one of every mould just before the large price increases came in. I never did get Linka! I did have in mind to have a whole layout where every building was made from Linka as my cousins had made me some beautiful buildings from it in the 1970's (Which as a kid I broke to get the lovely lighting they installed).

Not so true with Linka, but some cast building blocks can re-scale.

The basic Hirst Molds block at 1/2 " x 1/2" x 1" is 3ft by 3ft x 6ft in OO, viable for castles and harbour walls. In 0 an 18" by 3ft block is your town hall or classic stone-faced bank building.

Here I was seeing how it might look in G, for the garden:
(G figure and a 22mm monk, where the arched windows become single doorway size)

If I had to build brick by brick I don't think I'd ever get anything finished.

I really need to dig out my moulds again and see if i get on better with them this time around.

One thing that really helped me was to wash the moulds first with soapy water and leave them slightly wet when pouring in the plaster.
It really does make more of the tiles come out as they should.
