Sorry I couldn't see from the picture, they are actually radiators? I though it was an open fire.
Thanks

In that building it is an open fire, in the other buildings they have a mix of open fires and radiators.

Grand old buildings ..... now a glorified Bus Stop !!
What happened to real architecture ?

I ask myself is my life going to be long enough to indulge
in such luxuries as interiors ? Grim reaper do not answer that !

Beaching Geoff!
All flattened and sat as waste land for 20 so years, then they decided to reopen the station, built the bus stops on wooden platforms.

Nice work Martin. The chimney stack reaching for the sky on the larger of the buildings is particularly imposing.

Little update

I've been working on the bridges at Bramley station.
I will let the picture do the explaining

So google map img of the station am basing the layout against

And the model

This gives you an idea of the size of the layout area.

That's quite a view, three bridges in a row. And the model is coming along nicely too, you can already feel the atmosphere in that view along the road with the heavy shadows contrasting the pools of light between.

Nice to get a glimpse of the railway room too. Will it be scenics all round? Or part scenic and part storage sidings?

It will be 80% scenic, but plan to have reversing loops and hidden lines. The main line will have 2 reversing loops and have overhead lines, the other lines will just be 2 loops.
Still planning it out in my head, as per usual just go for it and hope it all falls in place :P

It's not often you see a triple bridge let alone modelled! Great work. :)
I'd also like to know about the transit camper van please.
Thanks

The transit camper started off as a van for this set

http://www.hattons.co.uk/27776/Corgi_Co ... etail.aspx

I then cut down the body and made the living space for the back end, from plasticard, using pictures of a transit camper.
It's about 80% done just the odd bits to complete.

I got hold of 2 of those sets. I converted one to a pick up and one to a camper. Some images below
