Murphy Models Class 071

Post by Sails »

Arrived this morning, fantastic looking, a heavy and superbly detailed model. Unfortunately when trying to remove the body retaining screws to fit the dcc decoder I broke off a windscreen wiper and an aerial (why do they fit those screws so tight?). A tiny bit of glue should get those back on. Very fond memories of these shaking the house windows many years ago.

Lovely loco.. i used bubble wrap to wrap mine up when adding chip.. n magnet to screwdriver to lower screw into hole.
found out today that the rails on side need pin to open the metal hole up when they fall out.. which they will.. then glue them in..

I love murphy models. Infact i wouldnt be into trains only for them..
