I have mostly finished this layout and enjoy the scenery while I go about other modelling projects.

The Signals are from Brass parts from MSE and other various brass parts of Tubes /Ladders.
They are operational using a combination of Lever frames from Gem and wire with return springs.
The Lamps were made from 2mm LED's. I formed one of the electrical feeds on the LED into a angled bracket soldered to the brass tube the other was cut off the LED and replaced with a length of enamelled
copper wire( used to get the correct scale thickness) threaded through and down the inside of the brass tubes. Where the wires are exposed they were first sprayed with white car primer as at that scale the wire is so fine only this paint did the job.
Using 2mm LED's did require a small amount of filling to the lens to remove the curve of the face and also several layers of matt black paint to prevent light bleeding out from the wrong place on the small LED's.

I like what I can see (not a lot)) of that galleon model.
Yeah signals, very nice, a real stumbling block for me.

I for one will not mind. Ships and shipping is a big favourite of mine. Excellent modelling all round.

Love it ....... I can be a grumpy Mod, so nobody dare take exception !!
My previous modelling was aircraft and I have slipped the odd photo in
over the years.
To me model making in all it's forms, particularly when done very well
is worth looking at. The basic skills all cross over.

agreed, any pictures of well done models is worth posting, nice layout cant wait for more pictures of the layout or whatever else you have buit well done

There's nothing like looking at other forms of modelling, particularly when they are well done for discovering new methods and possibilities that are applicable to your own sphere. Those furled sails for instance could be translated straight into tarpaulins or canvas hoods. No need for apolgies for looking at ships.
