Re: Bachmann 2011 Products wishlist
I'm not usually one to join in the wishlisting.... But I am quite looking forward to Bachmanns announcements, as they usually have some nice surprises in store ! I expect to see some new liveries on the Class 150 DMU, and I hope that they do it in original 'Sprinter' livery with gangways at the cabe...

Re: The Strogaloft - Construction Begins... Again!
Evening chaps. Today I finally got my hands on a Heljan Class 58 ! Really pleased with it, it looks the part and runs faultlessly. Heljan definately continue to be my favourite manufacturer ! I think the ViTrains 37 will be moving on this week... It just doesnt stand up to the Heljan efforts, its a ...

Sounds like you had a good weekend there Gav !
I seem to recall that you were to be operating a DCC controlled layout at the show, how did you get on with that ?

Re: The Strogaloft - Construction Begins... Again!
The ViTrains 37 arrived this morning... Very nice looking, my only gripe with it is that the yellow on the nose-ends is too lemony... But luckily the noses are seperate mouldings, and will be very easy to repaint. It will certainly need a good weathering ! http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff219/Dr...

Top job on the weathering mate. I hadnt really thought about using a combination of airbrushing and powders.... judging by the results, its a winning combination !

Cheers for the feedback lads. Yeah I guess that security-type fencing would be the most realistic option... just not the cheapest  I've used knightwings security fencing on the back of the depot.... guess I'll just carry on using it for the front half... Ian, yes I regret getting the class 20 a...

Did a little bit today, mainly laying tarmac scatter around the pub. Also used some metcalfe paving slabs to make a pavement leading to the level crossing. I'm thinking maybe a park/play area in this bit? (opposite the pub, where I've currently got a few fir trees) http://i238.photobucket.com/albums...
