Re: Small 00 carriages
Gentlemen...you are all absolute stars, every one of you. Thank you all so much for the kind comments and advice, I appreciate every word. Once the forthcoming move is completed, I can make a start on building my little end to end layout, (only 72" x 18") but it'll keep me occupied for a w...

Small 00 carriages
Good afternoon, gentlemen, I'm on the lookout for three or four small carriages to match up with a Hornby 0-4-0 saddle tank loco. The smaller the better, similar size to narrow gauge, but for 00. Era...well, the latter days of steam. Region...doesn't really matter, they can be resprayed and altered....

Spot of help, please...
I wonder, could someone do me a huge favour, and measure up a Bachmann 4MT tank loco and two SR carriages which would be applicable to use with the loco on an 00 gauge Cuckoo Line layout? I just need the overall length of the three coupled up together. Thanks...

Re: Victorian era layout
As I said, much more research will be needed to make a decent job of it. In the meantime, I'm going to crack on with my end to end version of the Cuckoo Line...my front door is about fifty yards from the the line used to run, so I have what you'd call a 'close affinity' with it.

Re: Victorian era layout
Thanks for all the advice and comments, chaps....very much appreciated as always. I've decided to put the Victorian layout on the back burner for the time being until I have more information, more experience, and most importantly, more room. That way I'll feel more confident of doing it justice, not...

Hi MG,
I did sort of think that may be the answer...I always pick the difficult things to do! More research needed, methinks...

Victorian era layout
I'm just starting on my first ever 'proper' layout, an 00 gauge end to end, measuring 60" x 14" (I have no room to go any larger) I want to build it as a Victorian era layout...I have a Hornby "Lord of The Isles" set, which was an eBay purchase, and I've bought a couple of extra ...
