4-CEP 7113, the one modelled by Farish, was refurbished 10 Oct'80 - 24 Feb'81, according to this website: http://www.scot.scotshome.com/cepunits/

After 24th Feb 1981, the unit had different carriage layouts etc (more details on the site above).

I'm looking to do an exhibition layout, having done one with a friend and having exhibited with a club.

No, there are no problems with derailing or detaching, unless the loco/stock has issues with that sort of thing already.

This layout will be sold in the next few months I suspect.
