Model Railway Scenery Review - Signal Box No.4
Hornby Skaledale Signal Box No 4 – R8683
Rating 7/10

Review:
The Skaledale Signal Box No 4 when added to the layout
looked very realistic like the actual Signal Box's you see beside the railway
lines. I was extremely impressed by the look of this particular Skaledale
scenery building.
The
brickwork at the bottom of the signal box appears to be
individually hand painted with red's, brown's and orange colours
being used, which adds to the realistic look obtained by Hornby.
Although nothing special has been done to the windows and doors,
this doesn't affect the main look of the building.
The only
disappointing part of the piece I found when looking closely was
the name plate showing Skaledale Junction. It appears to have
been glued over the name plate on the side of the building, and
this is clearly visible as the rest of the name plate is a very
dull green (like the painted stairs and doors) but the middle
section where the name has been added stands out.
