Average model but with some highlights

Hornby 45 Ton Glw Steel Carrier R427 and R6209b

I have both the old and new version of this model. The newer version is an improvement with a better build quality and more detailing. It also now comes with a load and has metal wheels. It also seems to be weighted. This model has the same chassis design as the old EEC Hopper and the older version of the steel carrier, but handles much better. It seems to make it run better, Hornby simply put a washer under the pivot of each wheel. This is probably why it only handles only a bit better. It still derails at standard points, but not very often.
