Start off with F0, see what happens, make a note. Same with F1, F2, F3 etc. Otherwise you need to know who's sound \ functions have been loaded onto the chip ie legobiffoman, Jamie Goodman, Coastal DCC etc as they may assign different sounds to different F keys.

Not too much info' in the op. Did you buy this decoder with a sound file all ready on it, or had one loaded? If so, who's the supplier and whose sound file.
