Hornby GWR Collett coaches LH/RH

Silly question - how important would it be to have the coaches all going LH/RH or did they actually mix in LH/RH in service?

Outside of Rule 1 of course.

Many lengthy discussions online about this in the past. Apparently the GWR at one time tried to keep their prestige trains uniform with the corridor on one side only. This stopped at some point in time, definitely by the time BR took over, and most likely before: when WWII broke out the railways had rather more serious tasks to be getting on with.
