slow my DMU down

Post by Mark19 »

Hi all

I have a DMU with a loksound 5 in each unit my problem it is too fast I only need to use around 40% throttle so my question is how do I slow it down so I don't run the risk of derailing on bends all the time. I now the basics but on the speed table you can not adjust step 1 or the last step

and it has a warning about this and that you must keep the curve equal in between any help would be grateful

Thanks

You should be able to reduce the maximum speed without altering the speed curve too much. First take a look at the factory settings in the decoder manual for CV5 (Vmax), and if available CV6 (Vmid). If you alter these to half the values that are currently set, you should obtain a much slower running model, but with a similar speed curve.

If this creates problems with the sound effects, a decoder reset (check manual for instructions) will restore the factory settings.
