Hello from Yorkshire !

Post by SharlstonEastagteMR »

Afternoon all, newbie signing in.
Andy here, a returning modeller after getting a train set a couple of years back from my better half.
Been working on a layout for a couple of years which I've documented on You Tube - still very much a noob but slowly getting better :D
I've been lurking on the forum (gathering tips & modelling advise) for a while so thought I'd better join up and say hello !
Andy.

Welcome on board, Andy. You have an impressive layout. I hope the Pollock (Scotrans) haulage vehicle managed to cross the level crossing. He seemed to have been there sometime.

Evening to you both,

Glencairn - yes, the driver looks to have abandoned his truck & gone to the Railway Hotel for a pint ! :D Many thanks for checking out my channel.

Mountain - yes, plenty of adventures to be had. I've had to dismantle my current layout & a new one is in planning, I'm looking forward to getting started soon.

Cheers, Andy

Returning after a VERY long break.
Well I sold my 3 rail HD back in the late 1950's and started again in 2007-8
with digital. Many long in the tooth members around here so welcome aboard.

Any plans for some more videos of your layout on the Tube?

Nice looking layout there. The Pollock driver wouldn't have been able to afford a pint on the wages they pay. :D

Pollock (Scotrans) has been acquired by Gregory Distribution. Maybe the drivers got a pay rise in the pay review. Drivers say they did. :)
