The metal sleeper's dimensions must be for at least meter gauge...

That's what I love about those narrow gauge prototypes. If one had the room and money one could simply order oneself a railway!
They were made for the ordinary folk running small industries to just order what they need. The forunner to what most of us do in model form when we want to build ourselves a railway.
