Hi Ken.

The brooms will be replaced by new, more neat ones.
Getting a bycicle in the island is not easy because the only shop selling them is probably waiting to be in next diorama.

The real story is that the original 'plan' (...!!!) was to make of what now is becominging the Bazar' a cycle repair shop. During the last years I have been collecting a dozen of 1/35 scale bikes for that but they are so expensive and so necesary for many small scenes waiting to be and, at the same time, the idea of the bazar with all that stuff outside was so tempting that... Well, you see it.

So, where do you find the 1/35 scale bicycles for sale?

Military modeling figure boxes.

Mk35 makes also some beautiful ones but more expensive.

It still must get the last 1/4 of the foliage.
The only thing I regret is I didn't collect more of this to me new foliage so I could make at least a couple more trees.
The twigs come from a wild plant that grows in many places in Amsterdam and has been treated with the average glycerin bath to which I added some green pigment.
The only and for me really very boring issue after drilling the 0,5mm and 1mm holes was to find back the holes, even with my reading glasses and the magnifier with it's strongest glass. So a lot went wrong but the result looks still acceptable. I will now prepoare a mix of acrilic modeling paste. fine sawdust and acrylici colour to fit the skeleton and try to disguise a bit the abrupt jump in size, colour and texture between branches and twigs.

A friend wanted to kon how the brooms were made so I made these photos:

(I used a piece of coloured unravelled Sisal (Yute cord) so to get more contrast in the photos)

Next a generous drop of PVA glue slightly diluted (... 'ma non troppo'!)

ImageIMG_0086 (33) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

... and another drop of glue because the top of the bundle must become a solid maleable piece later.

Later or tomorrow the rest, once the glue has REALLY dried.

Here is why even someone as I, with a minimalistic percentage of patience, must let the PVA dry at least 12 hours:

ImageIMG_0067 (37) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

if the glue is not really set it wouldn't form a strong enough block with the Sisal fibers so to take the plkiers impression and later the drilling...

ImageIMG_0068 (37) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

This broom has been made in an arbitrary bigger scale because the images were for a vriend modelling big, but for smaller scales is the same just for H0 or so I would use hemp fibers instead of Sisal cord. But the whole procedure remains the same...

ImageIMG_0069 (38) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

I made the drilling with a 0,8mm drill bit and the Dremel but if you are not really handy with it may be you better use the drill in a hand chuck or ensure you have a band Aid at reach. (don't ask how I've learnt)

Any ACC will do.

O.k., I see it now but someone with better eyes will be able to avoid the excees of ACC or at least notice it and file it away or simply cut it with an old blade.

Now here mine in 1.32

and all together for comparison

Of course anyone doing more than one intent will do it better but, if you follow a bit my work you already know I just do the rough mining, bring up how-to's and is up to you to polish the diamond.

 D...d!!! After seeing this...

https://www.banggood.com/nl/MUSTOOL-G12 ... 8367773622

... Magoo :o is looking for one as the above but with a 2meter wide screen and able to cover & enlarge an area as big as the diorama. Inmediately Mr. Wallet started to cry and now I must convince Magoo not to enter the science-fiction area and Mr. Wallet to let go the Horror one.
(Sometimes is hard to be a peacefull modeller!)

In such an unimportant village at the middle of a tiny unknown island, a Bazaar must be able to provide the right stuff for the village and the growing number of small farmers in the area...

Tomorrow the ladders will be worked out and painted (... if the muses don't push in another direction.)

Thank you, Ken.

The walk from here...

ImageIMG_0006 (2) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

... to here...

ImageIMG_0021 (88) by Daniel Osvaldo Caso, on Flickr

... has taken, so far, an year and three days but the joy of modeling without plan and the desire to keep doing it are the best drive I ever had.
I whish I could convey the spirit of it through images or words, but I can't.

No, I am not being lazy, nor in vacation, nor in the hospital. I am working and have rebuilt my spraybooth andhalf done the re-instalation of the lighting above the less used but very important workbench where the milling, turning and cutting of metals (should) happen if I would be a less chaotic being. But if I am lucky the changes will encourage some spotane order (the onlyt type of order I really trust).
But on Wednesday it would be natural the stream to have generated more to post here.
Meanwhile here some of the things the muses threw against my head the last couple of days...
