"B Train Shorty" layout
"B Train Shorty" layout
Hello,
after a lot of hours of intense brainstorming, I finally managed to plan my future "B Train Shorty" layout.
This is the video that gave me the idea: Kato N Scale Diorama (tiny!)
Technical data:
-Kato Unitrack N scale
-Radius of the curves: 117 mm.
-Length of the straight track: 64 mm
-Dimensions: 350 mm x 280 mm

Nice, I like the way you've handled the complex track layout.

Mount it on an old coil spring from a car, and you can have authentic earthquake ground movements whenever you want.
This might seem unfeeling, but it is nothing beside the sang froid of the several Japanese I have known and esteemed as colleagues, who would all display characteristic robust humour toward this idea. Lots of model railway interest in Japan too, which was fun.

Thanks. But I have already ordered the Kato track sections.Ironduke wrote:Tomix smallest radius is 103mm if you want to go smaller.

Thanks. It was really difficult because I don't have a brain. That's what SWMBO tells me everyday.Byegad wrote:Nice, I like the way you've handled the complex track layout.

Fair enough it's probably way easier to get anyway.Lachute wrote:Thanks. But I have already ordered the Kato track sections.Ironduke wrote:Tomix smallest radius is 103mm if you want to go smaller.

Don't believe her (keep that to yourself). To have taken my Xmas tree base circle plus loop and simplified it so elegantly takes mighty talent.Lachute wrote:Thanks. Re: "B Train Shorty" layout
The four Kato 11-099 bogies arrived today. I'm very pleased with the result. I found this mini layout (1' x 1') in my so well-stored garage. For now, it will do the trick.

First run of my Bandai B-train shorty. Because I don't have a Kato 11-105 motorised chassis, I use an old 11-103. It runs very well: BANDAI B TRAIN SHORTY
