So after all the hard work of converting the attic the next task was to build up the baseboard. With the main part of the layout being a raised track on embankments (I was still intending to have the same central part of the CandO plan as my focus) the central part of the frame was around 90mm lower than either side. I also left a gap at the other side of this part instead of building right up to the wall. The main reason was so that the focal part of the layout could be viewed from both sides of the layout to give a more natural look whilst another reason was to ensure easier access to the eaves. There will be a return loop to the right and a multi-track goods yard to the left which would serve as a fiddle yard too.
I must confess at this point that there weren't many pics of the frame build itself as I just cracked on with the plan in my head whilst I could remember it!!
