Feeler gauges! What was your thumbnail made for?
Looking along the body panels for suspicious "wobbles" then using a magnet to check for the depth of filler, discovering concrete with a good thick layer of underseal in the bottom of the doors1

The 'ground surface' looks very realistic. Did you use commercial modelling material or your own mix?

My own mix, Phred. Different shades and sizes of ballast, talcum powder and real coal dust.

Great little scrap yard 👍
Once upon a time I built a model railway in the loft. Now I dabble on much smaller baseboards.

Wish I could get flowers to grow like that. I could kill a cactus (well actually I have). :(

Thank you for your comments, Phred. Cheap plastic flowers coloured all in blue bought from the local £1.00 shop. A touch of different colour paints. Way over scale, but I like them to give a overgrown look.

Is that two boats, or the same one painted different on the opposite sides?

Two different boats.

I have a third one, 'Ada'. She is a coal barge and resides at Clarence .

Having looked again I can see there are a few differences, but at first glance this morning through sleep deprived eyes I thought with one viewed from the port and the other starboard there was a slim chance that you had used a simple trick to increase the interest

Kingfisher is slightly smaller than Clarice.

I have done that with some railway wagons. Increasing the fleet as it were.
