You need to find the Triang bogie Chlorine tank wagon !

I also saw a Triang 'Murgatroyds' wagon similar to mine. The difference being the Triang one said Murgatroyds London. Mine doesn't have a town or city on it. Therefore, ideal for a Yorkshire based layout.

I seem to remember that Murgatroyd was the name given to the Magpie in the kids TV programme. BBC had Blue Peter and adopted 60532, ITV had Magpie and had to stick a spurious name onto 44806.

This Signature Left Intentionally Blank, but since I have written this and I intended to do it, this Signature is intentionally not blank. Paradox or What?

I have purchased three new buildings. I shall be preparing the area for where they shall be placed. That's a job over the weekend.

I spent a little while studying those last two photos. So much intriguing detail to take in.

Love the garage. Pretty sure I bought a car from there... ah, the days when we could drive scrappers

Ah, but it's the 'things' that make a model railway look real!glencairn wrote:

Yes Phred,
The days when we knew how everything worked, partially because
there wasn't much that did !!
No radio
No heater
Adjust 'The Points' every month & re-gap the plugs.
Glencairn manages to take us back there which is why I love it !!

Asleep? In the cab of a road haulage vehicle in a layby Kingdom of Fife.
Those were the days.

Lord help you! But we were built tougher back then.glencairn wrote:

I tell my grandchildren how I used to walk to and from school every day, five miles uphill both ways with snow up to my waist. Little Phoebe commented the other day: 'Granpop! Every time you tell that story the snow gets higher! It'll be over your head next!' I told her that was how I learned to snorkel but she didn't believe me.

Now everything works great until the preset self destruct date set by the manufacturer so that you have to buy a new one.Dad-1 wrote:

Mind you, I don't miss crawling around under the car trying to find the grease nipples!
