Connectors for lifting flaps etc.

Just stumbled upon these better than breaking up old light fittings. Only prob is RS's minimum transaction size.

They're also available on Ebay - just search on "Preci-Dip" (eg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Preci-Dip-2- ... SwAnJbYB8X).

But the large picture perhaps doesn't show that the switch is actually quite small and might not be robust enough? An alternative might be a couple of push-to-make switches which are very economical.

I use a push-to-break switch under the flap connected to my Lenz LZV100 command station (E and M terminals) so that if I lift the flap with the layout powered on it signals the LZV100 to cut track power.

Try Farnell, search for "Male Spring Loaded Connector", loads to choose and cheap and is Farnell's postage any kinder?
