arboretum valley
Re: arboretum valley
A picture of a railway is likely close though
Here I have placed a couple but not gone whole hog on them though I have a lot more, the issue normally is has one left enough spaced between the tracks to align them!Re: arboretum valley
And never having tried I would need to see how they work as the trains go into the tunnel!

Re: arboretum valley
Before anyone points to the photo of the mast and wires and says "I see no sag". The same photo actually shows the components of the tensioning system. Just where the wires pass the corner of the block of flats you can see the turnbuckle and insulator. Follow the wire to the pole and you'll see a pair of wheels, just below them there's a rod loaded with weights hiding behind the mast. So unlike telephone wires, overhead cables etc the conductor wire is kept tensioned by the weights hanging at the mast, but can raise when the pantograph pushes upwards. That's a very useful photo.
PS taking another look at the photo, the weights must be at the other end of that length of wire.

I think I’ll buy the stuff to have a go, then work up to being brave enough to trial it.
Re: arboretum valley
A beautifully created stream. I swear I can hear the water running.

Thank you.
I paint the water first in the direction it flows, then add the varnish or model water, then photograph while wet, once dry just before I photograph I wet cloth clean the ‘water’ this adds real water and aids reflections acting like a poor mirror.

Re: arboretum valley
Dust accumulates and quickly ruins ‘water’ so cleaning it with water helps enormously.

I love playing with ‘water’
