Post by TEAMYAKIMA »

TWICKENHAM & DISTRICT MRC are holding their annual open day on July 21st (10am to 4pm) at their clubrooms at:

Kerswell Hall, Wills Cres, HOUNSLOW, Middx, TW3 2JF

There will be THREE working OO layouts ....

NORTHWICK - our long-established exhibition layout which has recently been refurbished and extended.

EASTGATE - our latest project - a privatisation era D&E layout - still under construction but now fully working. Twickenham MRC pro-actively supports modern era modelling - come and join us!

TWICKENHAM JUNCTION - our largest and most ambitious OO layout ever! Come and see it at its first public showing!

PLUS - OUR WELL-KNOWN N GAUGE EXHIBITION LAYOUT BATTY MOOR - with a new N gauge layout under construction BATTY MOOR is seen less often on the exhibition circuit, so come and enjoy it one more time.

PLUS - our secondhand stand - come and pick up a bargain!

PLUS - weathering with powders - a display and demonstration by our tame weathering expert!

PLUS - refreshments

All this is FREE, but donations are very welcome. We hope to see YOU there on July 21st.

Have just been told that our 'beginner's layout' which we operate as as kiddies Drive-a-Train display will be running at our open day. This has recently been refreshed and improved and uses many of the techniques discussed in this forum.
