Alex, I think I'll have to give this one a miss, I'm not quite at the stage to start a new project. I'll follow the other entrants with interest though.

Alex, I shall give this one a miss, as I shall be away for a little while persuing my other main interest, ships and shipping.

Not to worry, I am going to set this one as cancelled due to lack of interest, i was hoping to build on the momentum of the first 2017 one but even i am looking at other projects  so maybe a second one so close after the first just wont work.

We can try again later in the year :)

OH rear end..... My moulds now turned up and I've been making up other LINKA tiles like a madman!
Not to worry. I'll be building the station building soon but this gives me (and Linkaonline) time to get the curved platform tops on sale that I need.
Thanks for all the work Alex.
Thanks

How about postponing it a month and trying a new subject that more suits everyone's current project aspirations?

I think the competition should be used either to try out a new skill, or find something out of the modelling box that you want to finish off.. if you do competition after competition sadly there won't be enough to be entered. so I think maybe spread it out do a Spring, Summer, Autumn and winter, to keep entry numbers good.
I am quite full on other work magazine articles and also doing my own thing when money allows.

Thats what i thought, the 'template' was 2 months for actively working on competition entries, 1 month for 'admin' and voting. meaning each would take 3 months resulting in 4 a year.

Its OK i will try again in the summer giving us 2 a year and see how that goes

I think that's more sensible Alex. The reality for many is that life/work/other responsibilities compete and modelling time is often at a premium. I eventually finished my last competition entry but I struggled to do it by the end of March rather than February.

While I won't be in a position to take part, I am happy to run one again if there is enough interest?

Alex
Start a new "2018 Competition" thread and we will see what interest there is.

We have also dropped the ball on a Tour!

here we go, I have set a minimum number of 8 members taking part for it to progress

its open to all, no limits on what can be entered & has a 2-month window (thought this was a nice balance)
