Hello from davidone

Post by davidone »

Hi my name is Dave and I live on the NE coast of the US.
I have been into Ho trains for many years and have a layout of about 16x5. I have been interested in European steam, mostly UK and Germany for sometime and decided to some OO steam to my increasing layout.

Not knowing much about OO please forgive me for the simple questions I may ask.

You beat me as well Alec. I have closed the report and responded to Dave (Lofty as was). Welcom davidone, you only need a welcome from Flashbang and youwill have bagged a full set of Mods and Admins with your first post. Don't worry about questions that's what we are here for. US, Germany and UK you'll need a fancy sort of layout to house that lot, or will it be two, even three layouts. It's a shame that the two sets that might logically share tracks are different scales, 00 models are similar in size to US H0 models but make European H0 ones look a bit small, there must be a way.

A friend of mine has a collection of American 00 gauge locos and they are massive! They look almost the same as UK 0 gauge. They run on 19mm track width.
