Re: Laisdcc decoders
I always get worried about "Cheap" ..............
My experience says the more expensive ones really are better.
However if you want to try & let us know I'm certain it could
be of interest to members.

Dunno but he didn't come back on his application to join the forum when I asked him if he was a trader.

I've just had a look at the ad. There is a very good comprehensive PDF manual on it, which is written clearly in English (not a translation). It also states they are unlikely to work with Hornby Select (useful information!). I was trying to work out if they are rebadged , but I can't reach any conclusion.

Re: Laisdcc decoders
There are a couple of a threads on RMWEB about these decoders. I won't be buying any. I'll be staying with the Lenz standard plus decoder which is known to be a good, reliable decoder.

Lais decoders are allegedly counterfeit TCS ones - some of them even have a manufacturer's id of 153 which belongs to TCS. See this post on another forum - http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic. ... 29#p248603
Why buy these when from German box-shifters you can get Lenz Standard+ decoders for £12-£13 posted.

Re: Laisdcc decoders
Try http://www.arstecnica.de/shop/index.php . Lenz Standard+ decoders priced at €16.99 so you need to buy 3 to get the free postage (standard mail).
Also here - http://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/ . But I think you need to spend €100 to get free shipping, but that comes via UPS fully-tracked. My last order took 2 days - same as from Hatton's.
