Hi ALex, I'm not going to finish much more than the tramcar, nasty outbreak of life interfering with modelling time. I'll try to put inmy last update tomorrow.

Here's the final post of my August competition thread, sadly not as progressed as I would have liked it to be, but as it was definitely experimental territory it has served its purpose in giving me a tryout of an area of modelling I'd only previously glanced at. There's an 009 roundy roundy thing in the loft, in it's board and track stage, it may well re-emerge as a narrow gauge tramway.

Sorry guys, but I'm out at the last minute. A very naughty stressy daughter managed to break both vans yesterday evening and although they could probably be repaired, the fact that all they were waiting for was paint, means I cannot bring myself to look and assess them right now.

Really sorry to hear that i hope the damage is not to bad! The idea of the competition is to encourage people to model and share their results so don't worry about missing the deadline. When you can bring yourself to assess and repair it take lots of pics as it would be really interesting to follow the progress.

I've had a look and it's all clean breaks fortunately around glued areas, I know that if I try and rush to get them primered and top coated tomorrow there's a risk of getting a finish I'm not happy with, so I'm going to focus on my upcoming interviews this week, then go for having them done by next weekend. If nothing else, it'll mean a long overdue update on my layout thread

Top entries as usual and worthy victors to both Dad-1 and Alex. Congratulations to all who took part, it was hard for me to choose a top three.

It would be nice if we got more taking part, enthusiasm and ideas count more than expertise.

I agree. Personally I would take part but I can no longer post photographs. Hopefully, in the near future I will have the facility to do so.

Congratulations to all taking part. You are all winners in your own way. These competitions get that long awaited model, that has languished in the 'to do' box far too long, built. Well done.

May I congratulate Alex for running the competitions. Generally the organiser/s of anything are forgotten. I wish to make my point that Alex isn't forgotten. Thanks Alex.

Reminds me I could do with a JCB ............

We have spent too much time away with no broadband. After the August we've had
we're hoping September will let us get down by the sea with stuff called sunshine.
