Lima Bodies onto Vi Trains Chassis

Post by matt1471 »

Are these a good fit, or a little bit 'rubbish'??

I know Vi Trains have done purpose built chassis' etc, but if I get a decent Lima body, will it fit snuggly onto a normal Vi Trains chassis.

Class 37.

From my experinces Matt,in a word...Yes!
I had a chassis bought esp for a Lima 37 centrecoded, but making the directional lighting work was "fun" & the Lima body didn't want to cooperate.......

The Vi chassis has slightly different body securing points, it is exactly as supplied when fitted with the Vi body. If you are happy doing small mods to plastic RTR bodies and chassis, then it is no problem altering the chassis so that it will physically engage the Lima body.
