Plastic floor tiles????
I've got some spare laminate effect floor tiles from doing the kitchen and was wondering if they would be a suitable substitute for cork? They are about 5mm thick and come with sticky back on for easy application, probably not suitable for 00 gauge but seems a shame to waste them.
Re: Plastic floor tiles????
No expert but wouldn't think they would be suitable to rigid.
Cork has a spongy feel about it when compressed.

You have to ask - why don't more people use floor tiles? If you look at old floors you can see what happens - Over time, the glue weakens and the tiles lift at the edges and corners and warp. Not what you want on a model railway.
