ENTRY 1
hi guys this is my entry for the comp, please be gentle as this is my first attempt at modelling ,as i only joined in feburary??..i think ,
ok a little about the diorama, its called "a crane in transit" due to the only crane i had being a small white metal one that i could dismantle and use
the whole base of the model measures 21cmx13cm and is made of polystyrene sheets aquired from packaging etc and pva glued together ,then covered with plaster of paris
the river is again polystyrene sheet covered with plaster the painted and given 6 coats of pva to give it some depth....i hope lol
the bridge itself is all hand made from greyboard the painted a red oxide colour then when dry i sprinkled damp salt onto it let that dry then painted it grey, then rubbed off the salt to leave what i hope look like rusty patches
the tress and bushes were all made by hand from seafoam sprigs dipped in pva then coved in flock
some of the rock face bushes are household moss washed and pva glued in place.
as i have said this is my first ever attempt at a diorama and hope its good enough to add to the competition
