Hi Shaun, like what you done to the Stobart cab, bit of imagination there.. Top quality.

And Numbnuts I likethose vee tankers. Have a small rake of them in plain grey myself, look the biz powdered up like that. Good work squire. Whats the next step you planning then?
Oh and can you believe a guy I work with got upset with me and walked out because I referred to him as numbnuts!!!

Well my next step having sold our flat is to mive in to rented for a few months while i am waiting fingers crossed to go work for direct rail services and head up to cheshire. Then i can start on my layout once we have a nice attic space . Having got nearly all my track which is around 200ft of flexi track and 40 sets of points. .. Once the house is sorted look out for a new thread. Untill then i am weathering more stock

They had a trainee position available a while back, train jobs are like gold dust up this neck of the woods. Always keeping my eyes peeled for any in this area.

Ive looked into them but passenger services isnt my thing. Plus alot of the jobs on there site is more Edinburgh and Glasgow based.

Freight side of things is almost dead . With drs they was looking for somebody whos passenger guard as well which is why i applied. For charter work etc as well as the nuclear flask trips

Are there any step by step guides to weathering. Would love to do my 08 but I have no idea where to start - I'd like it to look like this.

Hi Dave

start with a picture of a real loco not another model - especially one that has generic weathering - class 08's dont really look like that when they get dirty.

Some of my rake of saa wagons. Weathered using a mix of railmatch and com art real deal weathering paints. Pipe loads made using centers from till rolls. Got a rake of 15 of these now

My weathered class 22 models. The Dapol/Kernow one came ready weathered and I decided to weather my Silver Fox version (on Bachmann class 20 chassis) to match. The real giveaway for my kit-built version is that I haven't flush-glazed the side windows.
