Didingtonn - OO Gauge Layout by Lmsrail
Re: Didingtonn - OO Gauge Layout by Lmsrail
Hi LMSrail
The depot floor looks a good colour. Are you planning to add any inspection pits to it?
Love the new 66/9, but then again if you have seen my layout you will know I love 66's!
Keep the photos coming.

There is infact already a small one there. It is hidden from view underneath the class 08 and just behind the 66. If I remember I will get some shots of that next time I get the camera out.

Some scenery work has been done, just need to do more ballasting now (oh the joy
). My new brake van has also arrived so some picture of that will be below.

Thanks for looking!

Cracked out the weathering gear today and these are the results so far, the two wagons on the right have been weathered and the two on the left have yet to be touched.

Very subtle but equally very effective. Nice work Jed. Keep the photos coming.

A fair bit of work has gone on over the past week, ballasting and the 2nd depot floor has been laid and partially weathered which makes things look much better. Here are some pictures of the latest work.

Today I acquired 3 new wagons to add to my collection. If any of you recognise them it's probably because they have come from an old forum member who some of you may remember, British Rail. Anyway, here they are waiting in the depot for the resident 08 to take them into the yards.

They could at least have cleaned them up and washed off the graffitti before sending them to you! Nice work on those wagons. Very authentic!
Re: Didingtonn - OO Gauge Layout by Lmsrail
Been around 5 long months since any work was done on the layout but I've finally found some time to creep up into the loft.
First of all I had an attempt at making a cardboard container which I didnt have much success with but from a distance it looks okay... ish

It appears the week of sunshine has caused a mass of grass growth at Didingtonn and a new cottage to be constructed, looks much better than the bland baseboard it was.

Good to see an update to this Jed. Coming along nicely. For a card kit the container looks ok to me.

It's not at all in line as one of the ends stick up about 3mm too high and there are a few gaps. But for my first attempt I dont think it's too bad
