Only 20mins of work

Took about 4 1/2hrs to get that far and these are a number of the simpler points, when it comes to the non scenic points I am just going to copper clad them, just for speed.
Hoping by the end of play Thursday I will have 2 working wired up point!

Hi

Today I have done a little more, I have installed a 12vDC BUS and connected up some of the station lighting, wired up the points to the polarity switches on the point motor.
I have had a play about with my layout room lighting. I have 10 RGB LED spot lights, hence 3 of the same photos but darker.

I have been working on the layout today, trying to build the over line reversing loop.
Not sure about the inclines, need more work.
I have been thinking about the date of the layout, 27th July 1974.

Just a small update
I have been working on my reversing loops, which are raised above the track at this point on the layout.

Also working on my HST, loads more left to do on it yet.

Nice one Martin. That HST looks awesome. I especially like the detail on the wheel discs

The reason I needed to improve the traction of the HST power cars was for it to climb the gradients on the reversing loops.

I could do with improving mine also. I run a 7 coach set like they used to from Paddington to Swansea and west Wales. I use the shorter Hornby coaches for two reasons. One is I have them and they ride well. The other is the overall length, being reduced tends to fit better in smaller spaces and yet it looks OK.
