Been on my mind for a while, I've decided now to downside collection wise and upsize in scale with DCC and all locos having sound, on a recent 4 hour round trip to collect an O gauge Castle I pretty much weighed up the pros and cons and made my decision.

Dan,

I'm shocked to see you're planning to leave Wenchford Railway behind you ........

It's been a long story of a growing collection of re-numbered loco's with vast amounts of matching rolling stock, with both you and the railway being one of the real long standing attractions in the layouts thread. I for one will miss seeing it's continued development although I don't post here much, mainly due to me not being s 'steam' person I'm always looking in. I've also had the pleasure of seeing it in the flesh, which I thank you for.

Although you do have a reasonable amount of space will you not get bored with the limitations of track space for '0' gauge ?? Still as a (very) young man, by my standards, I can understand you wanting both a change and to advance into greater detail.

I'll be looking forward to whatever you decide develop.

That is my number one concern but on the other hand it will open doors for me to go and run my stock on a number of other layouts in O, for example when i go to my dad's house i'll be more interested in his layout because I can run my stuff there. Yes it will be less railway in the same space but it will be a different kettle of fish to wenchford with DCC and interlocked signals & points operated from "lever frames".
I see it as an investment for the future, I won't be living where I am forever and one day I'll have the space for a large O gauge set up, no harm to have a small layout and start getting items now.
